Maja had tears in her eyes

What a moment for Maja Alm in the sprint. The second-year senior won her first international medal today. As soon as it was clear that she had won bronze, it was easy to see how big a moment it was for her. Her eyes were blank. – It's unbelievable, she says.
The Dane has been a big talent for a long time and this season she has taken a new step forward. – I have become calmer, she says. She has also had more time for the sport. Since she finished at college last spring, she has been orienteering more or less full time. During the winter she also spent a long period training in New Zealand.
– Professional? No, I wouldn't say so. I would rather say that I am having a holiday, she smiles.
Young Maja was one of three Danes who did very well in the sprint. Signe Søes and Tue Lassen were both sixth.
